A new V6 Stang is good for mid 15s.

A new MonteSS with dealer plates and window sticker raced at the strip about a month ago. It turned in a 10.13 1/8 e.t.
Again that was 1/8 not 1/4 I'm not sure what 1/4 mile time that translates to though

we have a 2000 SS Monte Carlo...

let me tell ya.. for a fwd V-6 this thing hauls some serious A$$

I have dusted a couple of V-6 Stangs with it... dont know if it was all car or bad driver... but i was VERY impressed by its speed... for being a pretty big car... couldnt tell you what it runs in the 1/4... but i would venture to say around a 15...

i drove a 4.8 liter v8 monte carlo ss at the gm proving grounds. it was a prototype that got cancelled. the 4.8 was the truck motor that goes in silverados (based on the ls1). that car was badass, they had a couple impala variants too. that was a cool summer job, let me tell you

I think the next paln for the monte is a supercharged 3.8, meaning it'll run like a GTP. this isn't for sure

Yes they are for sure putting the supercharger on the Monte SS. I work in the Body Shop at GM, building the motor compartments for the Impala's and Monte's. About 6 months ago they started rigging the welding machines with extra tooling to add reinforcements to the engine bay to handle the extra torque of the supercharger.
