02 WS6 gets killed on way to track.

Killed 02 WS6 on way to track.
Saturday night I was on my way to the track for the first time on new motor. This beautiful blue 02 WS6 pulls past me then slows down even. It was a guy in his mid thirtys in a suit. He looked over and nodded as did I. There was traffic in my lane so he drove off. I didn't bother following. The turn to the track was coming up. Low and behold he jumps over into the turn lane and goes my way. He was about five cars up so when I turned I picked up that ground. I tried to get next to him at a red but ended up behind him. I guess he knew I was there. When the light turned green he was gone. He was about four or five cars up when I jumped on it. I was realing him in fast. As soon as I shifted to third I cought him and flew past and put about three cars on him and slowed down. The turn to the track was the next light. He pulled up and was in shock. He said he had a lid and exhaust and a throttle body I think. He said he had never been walked like that before. I told him I just had exhaust. He laughed and drove on. Great race and super nice guy.
I only got to make one pass at the track. It was five minutes after I got there. I was on street tires and still had all my tools and crap in the car. I could only give it about 40% in first and short shifted. I spun second and hit the rev limiter. Horrible pass. I only managed a 8.00@92mph. I think I could have hit 94-95mph with more runs. I still need a lot of tuning.

We should ask Monkie what it would feel like! You would kill him. Your times look good, and it sounds like you have a bada$$ car!

There was an LS1 6 speed TA at the local strip friday and I talked to the guy. He said buying a car like that was the easiest way to get in the 13s .

nice race man. i would love to be able to do that, i imagine that with some traction and tuning you could run 11's all day long seeing how an 8.00 is about a mid 12. Good luck to you man

The car looks compleatly stock. Every thing. Most cars I have seen that do between 92-95 in the eith run 116-121 in the quarter. They usually run around 11.30 with traction. I will be extreamly happy if I go 120 when all is said and done. I will have reached my goal N/A. I still have a cam change in mind. I am shooting for 550-560hp at the crank. Then a TNT kit to run solid low tens.

Again Monkie, acting like a child. I am gay, yet you are calling people names on the internet!!! What are you going to tell on me next?

And always!!! Give me 2 hours and I could be running low 12s high 11s, and I do MY OWN work on MY CAR!!! So before you make that claim, realize you aren' the only one with stuff lying around!!!

You're so full of ****. Then why aren't you running low 12's or high 11's?

Edit: and son if you can only get 2.3 60' on 275 Drag radials there is something seriously wrong with your driving. If I set the psi right and pop the clutch I can get a 1.9 easily on the IRS. I don't know how you launch but if you want to know the best method with drag radials here is what worked for me the first time I ever used them. Set the psi at 15 (13 or below and the tire starts coming off the wheel) and do a good burn out until you see white smoke and then pop (dont feather) the clutch at about 3,500rpms. It should hook with a slight bark then leave.

Actually Monkie that was a 2.054 and a 2.09? 60' on the BFGs!

And the reason I don't have the kit installed is because you cannot have any lines, brackets or solenoids in the car when racing in my club! So therefore my dad took it out and I am not going to put it in. If Cobrakiller is up for a road trip (like he said) I would install it and run my low 12s! I could also put in the B-cam, and the slicks sitting down there too, and run into the 11s with no probs!

I tried to leave at 3500 and ran a 2.4 60' and 2500 I had a 2.2! The only way to leave is at around 2000 and dump it. If I had more than one trip to practice and lowered it more than 18psi I am sure I would see a 1.9, but I have the ET Streets now,so no wasting time with the DRs!

I am sorry to the guy who originally posted this, but Monkie,

What date did you run the 13.1, because now it is a different mph, and different times? Just wondering! I have a feeling it wasnt before 10-05!!!

The truth is right now if I could have any car it would be between a 1993 Cobra, and a 2000+ WS6!
