Oh My ***.

I just drove my car for the first time since just about everything in my sig got done. I scared the **** out of myself repeatedly. I was going down the highway on DR's at about 60, i hit it in third and the *** end went completely sideways. It was both the scariest and coolest moment of my recent life! I think i'm gonna have to get some ET streets or something cause the 275/15 DR's do NOTHING.

Sooo anyway i'm drivin home from Wendies and a Fox 5.0 pulls up next to me, hears me cackling and revs. I yell to him to go from a 50 roll (in hopes of traction for me) he says ok and we pace each other up to 50. Well he takes off and gets half a car length before i even hit- and thats where his fortune ends. I reeled him in and put him about 3 and half car lengths back by the time i had 90 (top third). We both pulled into the gas station and we talked for a minute, he had full exhuast, some kind of intake (track heat??? or somethin, i don't much about Ford stuff), and an E cam. I told him what i had, we was quite impressed with it.

Good stuff.

That's awesome man, wish I had a roller cam, but glad to hear you're impressed with it, since we have have a near similar setup....

What gears do you have again?

Any time Ian The stang was red, it was a GT with a cowl hood and Cobra rims, had MD tags on it. As of right now there is no exhaust leaks, i think i fixed just about everything when i pulled the motor and tranny (cept HEAT!).

Mark, i got 3.42 gears, i thought i was gonna wanna go to 4.10s but fromt he way this thing feels it would be completely unnessesary, possibly even a step backwards. Bout the only thing i have over you is a bigger cam, which may or may not be a bad thing...

Eric<---- can't wait to get to the track so he can bust a 14flat@124.89 with a 5.6 60'

Sounds like you have a pretty killer setup. Nice kill too.

I find it kind of hard to beleive that your DRs were breaking lose at 60. But hey, I wasn't there. Nice car!

trust me, when i was facing the side of the road at 60, they were spinning

As for the Spec i haven't really driven it enough to get a good feel of it. I can tell you one thing though, you really need to know how to drive with this thing cause it's like having an on/off switch for a clutch. i've heard once they break in they get better, but i only put about 45 miles on it, so i'm not sure yet...

Good kill. Looks like you got things together, exterior/Paint is great, and the motor is real strong.

Good job! Yes there is an intake by TFS called the "Track Heat" you're memory serves you correctly. An "E" cam is a fairly normal street cam, many many guys use it. So definately waxed a worth oppenent, sounds like you're pushing some serious power now! Good luck in continuing to build the car, if you can get that power to the ground you've got quite a beast.

thanks for clearing that up for me, i wasn't sure if he said trick heat or track heat, but i guess i got it right. Your right, traction is definately gonna be the difference when i get this thing to the track. I'm hoping that with some heat the DR's will at least hook somewhat decent. I've heard the nittos like ALOT of heat before they stick good, so we'll see on that...
