killed a third gen

I was coming home tonight and was about to turn off when i saw a third gen camaro pull in the lane next to me. So i stayed where i was. Both are windows are really dark, so I didn't know if he wanted to go. I didn't hear no revs so i decided to wait until he got on it. He did of course, so I nailed it after i was already rollin' and walked him hard. It was a three lane road so he comes all the way on the other side of me for what ever reason and we come to another light. I know its on now, so I drop it in D, brake torque it up to about 1000-1200 and rolled into the throttle quikly.
This time it was a murder! he faded really fast. Took it up to about 65 or 70 and had countless car lengths on him, no contest at all. It was dark but I could tell it was a Z28 but judging by how one sided it was it must have been a 305. it was like he was in reverse. I know the 350 tpi packs alot of torque and would have put up a better fight than that I'm sure, who knows. I kinda feel bad beating another third gen brother that bad but its all in good fun I guess. I just wish it could have been a new GT that I crushed! This was the cars debut after getting a dynomax bullet installed. It's made a big difference, the car feels considerably faster with it on opposed to the restrictive flowmaster 80 series!

Good race and good kill. Sounds like you got one hell of a combo there. Ever run it at the track? How are the new bullets? Pretty loud I bet.

I only have one bullet on the car. The cat back pipe into the bullet and out with one tail. No need for two tails, its not true duals anyway. Just got it put on today, sounds really good but not over powering at all. Doesn't drone at all, but when I get on the throttle it really growls. I heard its going to get louder once the fiberglass wears in though, can't wait haha! I can't believe how much this thing has helped my acceleration. The low end torque is crazy. I've never had it at the track. I did get a g-tech pro recently and it taught me how to launch alot better. I used to just mash it out of the hole and all I did was spin. I can only get a 5.7-5.8 O-60mph but this is really feathering it out of the hole. The tires on it now are just getting overpowered, I even get rubber going into third every time! I'll be getting some BFG drag radials soon, I need them badly. Should knock down a mid 13 I'd think. Thanks for the compliment!

nice LT1/ thirdgen combo you got there. Ya, just get some DR's and you'll be set for mid 13's, or lower, on a cool day with low humidity. About wasting the other camaro, at least you didn't have to listen to any buzzing coffee cans, right?

Thanks guys! I will try to get some pics up soon. The car is metallic blue and is in mint condition. People can't believe it when I tell them that its original paint. The orginal owner did an amazing job of keeping the car up. My mechanic did a GREAT job on the install, It's really clean under the hood and almost looks like the car came with this engine! This thing can really move that's for sure. I can't wait to get headers and a high flow cat put on. With those mods and drag radials I may suprise some stock LS1's, That would be great. Your right though, third gens get no respect. I love my car (and third gens) and I love the fact I can pull up next to alot of newer way more expensive sports cars and crush them after they laugh at me! I can't wait for a 350Z!

Man like ive said i seen many lightly modded L98s take down 350zs. I was there with my Cousin in his L98 GTA and Iroc. He fuggin smoked this 350z. THe guy was like pissed off lol. Man if a modded L98 can take one down , Damn a Lt1 would crush one with its upper RPM.

the 350z arent that hard man. Ther low 14 sec car.
