Toyed with SHO

I was out for a cruise the other night and ended up behind a SHO. I could see and hear that it had aftermarket exhaust on it, looked like flowmaster (poor guy). We turned and ended up on a two lane street side by side at a light. This was a high traffic area with many lights and cops for sure (many donut shops), so it really wasn't the time or place at all. Honestly, I really didn't want to go but there is NO WAY I was going to let that ford get ahead of me and think he took me. So the light goes green and I feather it out of the whole not even trying and get a car on him (thank you 4.10's). I could hear that he was going all out and I was only into my throttle about 1/3 the whole way lol! I stayed a car length ahead all the way to about 65 where we both let off. I could have crushed him bad! Kinda a cheezey race but oh well, still stayed out front haha! What sucks is that a 89ish GT convertible (sounded heavy with a big wing) was behind us the whole way and wanted some action as well! I turned off and was hoping he would come with me on another road where we could have got it on forsure but he went with the SHO. Wise choice!

Not just a Taurus, and SHO. They deserve respect for what they are and can be made very fast!

The newer ones are quick to. My buddys 97 ran a 14.9 stcok. Not bad for a four door sedan.

Englishtown NJ. He iced the intake. Took out the spare tire and the car did have a k&n air filter besides that it was stcok.

I didn't even try! If I did, he would have needed binoculars to see my plates.
