Car: 84 trans am
Engine: 350 bored .020 over
Transmission: TH350 w/ stage 2 B&M shift kit
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt/3.27
What do you think of my build?
Block: 10067353 Brand New Goodwrench 350 Engine
Pistons: .020 like stock pistons
Cam: PRO-2000 195°- 210° duration at .050”
Intake: Holley Street dominator
Heads: casting #33417369, 1.94" Intake valve, 1.50" Exhaust Valve, 76cc Combustion Chamber.
Exhaust Manifolds: Stock
Rearend: 2.??
Transmission:TH350 fresh rebuild, with a B&M shift kit.
Carb: Edelbrock 4bbl
Stock it says the engine should have 250 hp and 350 lb of torque. I also did an A/C delete.
I hope I have increased the performance by a little but I'm worried about the low compression with the heads.

Just a mild street build. Not a drag car by any means but just some get up and go. I will eventually build a new block that is pure power but this is just to get it running for now.

It should be decent for a mild street build. Some weak links could be the restrictions of the heads and stock manifolds. I dont think its a big issue on a street car but many around here seem to not like Edlebrock carbs. A gear change would probably be a very good upgrade as well.

Yeah I figured those were weak points. The rearend will be changed over the summer to a 3.73 or higher. I'm estimating about 300hp, is that a fair estimate?

Im no expert but that seems optimistic with stock manifolds, and that cam seems pretty small. You also dont mention the size of the carb?

Re: What do you think of my build?
I don't remember what size the carb is I will have to check later. The engine with a smaller cam, different intake and I'm thinking a smaller carb produced 250hp @ 4300 rpm. So I figured around 300ish give or take. I thought about buying a buddys 60cc heads but I hear the flow sucks on them. The cast number is 376450. I'm definitely not an expert but it was just an educated guess. Any and all suggest to cheaply give me some more power would be greatly appreciated
