KITT all the way! Turbo Boost and you're right...super persuit mode with all the pop out body panels (the show just sped up the tape...I've never seen a car take 90* corners that fast) would kill the bandit.

My best friend and I are actually building one of these replicas out of his 85 T/A.
I actually know the "performance data" that is known about KITT. I saw it on some Knight Rider site.
0-60 in .02 seconds.
Top speed 300 mph.

It depends...
If the race were on dusty gravel roads and grass, I'd have to go with the General. Remember the more tire spinning the better, try to get the back end to step out as much as possible. If it were a race on paved streets, kitt would smoke the General. The bandit T/A would be the best of both worlds (as long as you have a big rig riding with you as a team )

KITT would beat The General, at least in their "fictionary" forms. Was the General a 383, 440 or what in real life? I know there were like 50 of them, anyone know what types of engines they actually had? I'd take a Hemi or 440 69 Charger over KITT anyday, but painted in high gloss black instead of orange.

chargers were the upper model and the coronet was the base of that body style so most likely it was a 440 with optional hemi **possibly** a 383 but most likely a 440. im sure a 440 would spank a 305 cross fire t/a

Dont pick on the L03's
I dont have the LU5's hp/tq specs (probably what you have, unless its an L83) so lets compare the L03 to the L69...
L03 305 TBI; 9.3:1
170 hp@4000, 255 lb./ft@2400
L69 305 H.O. 4V; 9.5:1
190 hp@4800, 240 lb./ft@3200
It isn't that bad of a ****ing engine.

KITT definitely has the General beat. Hey, that thing could haul *** . Besides, the Duke boys would have gotten out of jail a LOT easier if the General would have come when they called it. Besides, if KITT ever ran out of gas, he could be run on any combustible material.

how about the dodge viper from the show viper on scifi. that thing will take a beating thoses others cant even though its only a show. but it would be kool to see a viper turn into sumthing like a superviper or sum ****. but if i had to chose it would be the bandit 400ci engine against the dodge 440ci plus u have to think of the weight of each car , they probably both pull about the same speed. well later
