Surprised an Infiniti G37 Coupe

Did some spirited driving with my friend and his G37. From a 20 mph roll too about 80, when we both slowed down, I had him by almost a cars length. He was surprised and said he had his foot down all the way but still saw me pulling on him.

He has a stock G37 auto coupe and was driving in DS (Sport) mode. I have a T56 behind a Goodwrench 350, four barrel, intake, headers and full exhaust. I'm pretty sure he'd kick my *** anything close to triple digits, but I must say, I was surprised I was able to pull on him

Re: Surprised an Infiniti G37 Coupe

Update. I found out my friend was not using premium gas and his ECM was most likely retarding his timing. That probably explains it.

Your giving way too much credit to his car. You beat him, with or without premium...

agreed. You beat him. A win is a win. I had my fair share of if only I had 50 ft more I would have passed you. Blah blah blah.

3.23 G80 locking diff.

The t56 is from a 95-98 F-body so I believe it has the slightly lower 1st gear ratio than the 93.

That was his excuse for losing? Tell him to go get a fill-up & re-run him.
