Raced a 305 92 RS today.

Well he played with this celica and so I figured hey if he is gonna race why not play with another domestic. So I go around the celica and I see him motioning for me to go get the RS. So I do and what is it a teen in a dark green camaro. So he is smoking a cigarette and has one hand on the top of the steering wheel like he is the **** and is sitting almost in the passenger seat. So we roll up at this light and the celica is behind me and the camaro is next to me and I roll down my window and yell "I saw you beat that celica! Nice one!" (gotta love O/R pipes with straight through mufflers) so he revs at me. And I laugh and rev back. Light turns green and I ease off making sure not to spin and he is gaining alittle. No problem, hit second and spin alittle but catch up and then I have traction and go WOT and watch him lose car length after car length. What an ***, picking on a *****.

I would hope that you beat him, but hey, so he picks on a *****, that's what they get for having such gay looking cars.

Seriously Mark, I can't stand ricers. If they have the ***** to race, good for them. And I think a cobra racing a tbi car is worse than a tbi car racing rice.

How's that borla sound, Monkie? Got any sound clips?

I agree. They deserve everything they get. And you picking on a 305 TBI is even worse if you didn't beat that thing i'd be really worried about how badly ford made those 99 cobras.

Actually it sounds like ***. Loud as all hell though! I have a friend with a Z28 and a loud mouth exhaust and mine is much louder. I cracked my friend's hatch after passing him at 6,000rpms. Damn, gotta pay for that. Well the O/R X is coming off and a O/R H is going on with flowmasters. That will sound 100 times better.

A friend of mine drives a 2000 Celica GT, and while it is slow (high 15's stock), it is a pretty nice car. The GTS on the other hand uses the same engine but bored and stroked giving it 50 more hp if i remember correctly. Those things will pull 14's stock if I remeber correctly.

I believe that the GT and GTS motors are the same displacement. Looking at the toyota web site i find that:
GT=
140 hp @ 6400........Bore x stroke = 79.0mm x 91.5mm
125 ft lb @ 4200........10:1 CR

GT-S=
180 hp @7600.........Bore x stroke = 82.0mm x 85.0mm
130 ft lb @6800.........11.5:1 CR

Ease up buddy. I dont take sides here. I own both a 3rd gen and a Cobra so I dont pick on one side. Actually I like picking on mustang GT's the most. I can just never get one to actually race me. All I get is "Wow, nice car man. Is it fast?"

Tell the truth monkie. You got stuck with the other camaro cuase you thought it was sold. Then the guy backed out.

And common picking on a 305 TBI? I thought you better then that. Hell I pick on them and win the vast majority of the time and I only have a 3.1!....

gee thats npot what this thread says... https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=86409

I had a deal with this guy. My camaro all the mods and all the sterio system in it for $5,000. He couldn't come up with the money! This other guy that works with my friend said that he would give me $4,500 for it. Should I take that or stick with $5k?

I'm not really sure about all this talk about who's picking on who. I can't speak for anyone else here, but I didn't spend countless hours under the hood for nothing. I'll show off my hard work to just about anybody.

you think your camaro is worth more then it REALLY is. And you and I BOTH know if you could get anything in the ball park you'd drop the camaro like a bad habit.

I could save that much in insurace money within 4 years. And its not hard selling a car for what you want in the south. Just look for a teen that likes a $350 CD player, system, and an exhaust and he will eat out of your hand.

i dont think even open headers would crack anything....cos the noise level is not that high...even with open pipes and no mufflers

was the otehr car with the hatch standing still when u passed him???

and rear hatch glass wont crack / shatter that easy ....if an open exhuast can crack the glass ...tehn think of what a really bumpy road would do to it...

My friend has a 71 Duster, 360, exhaust cut outs, loud as crap but never broke my hatch glass, most it's ever done is set off car alarms at idle.

ask RS about my exhaust, I set off alarms all the time in his apptment complex!LOL

Common Monkie.. PLEASE DROP THE BS The only way that a camaro hatch breaks is 1. you have WAY TOOOO BASS pressure 2. rollover 3.You slam it while you have something sticking out of the trunk.

I have heard a 440 6 pack with 80 series flows'. Not much is louder then that. Yes it literally shook the ground. But it did not(REPEAT DID NOT) break any windows...

so how is your "magical" 4.6 supposed to do that?...Or was that while you were breaking the sound barrier perhaps?...

Maybe the was so heavy it cracked the glass. I fire up my 75 Firebird with Dynomax headers and straight pipes exiting at the side right next to my 92. I don't care how much I rev it up, that hatch isn't cracking. If you could break glass like that, my neighbors would be replacing all sorts of windows!

so wait

your basically saying that your exhaust is the LOUDEST thing i would ever have heard in my life so far

a certain Morbid Angel/ Pantera concert in Philladelphia is comming into my mind......................

versus a car exhaust

so wait a minute here.......your saying your exhaust is louder than a HARLEY!!!!!!?

my neighbor with a Harley (oh my *** i want his bike) cruises past my house FULL THROTTLE, ALL THE TIME, and nothing has ever broken

how stupid do you think we are, child?

FLAME MONKIE ALL YOU WANT--HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A COBRA

I'm sorry I defended Monkie the poser on that Cobras post:

I was checking corral.net and lo and behold

http://www.corral.net/forums/showthr...threadid=79777

Monkie started this post asking why there were so many fake Cobras. He replies every couple posts or so for a while. Then Toddzilla calls him out:

"Ok, now it's time for you to shut up also. You don't even own a cobra so you have no place to talk. Let's not start a war here. It really doesn't matter if it's a GT or a Cobra, as long as it's not a V6 (kidding...sorta )."

Monkie doesn't post again until the second page. Then on the second page, DOHC Josh also says that Monkie has no Cobra. Monkie makes no attempt to say that he does have a Cobra anywhere in the post.

last time i heard the childs age he claimed to be 16 and went to school to work on cars

he knows absolutley squat about cars

he acts like you stole his banana

he claimed to have owned a 12 second LT1 94 Z28 with only mods were an exhasut and chip

when we asked him what mods he had done to it, he did not answer and avoided the subject completley

notice how he would not answer what mods his cobra has

i dont know, but when i was 17, i worked my a$$ off (60 hour weeks) and only ended up with a V6 camaro as my first car

and i even had money saved b4 that too

something smells fishy and it aint commin from the ocean, if ya get what i am saying

Well I liked how he said that a turbo set at 6-7 PSI could not add 50-60 Hp, especially since it was a diesel turbo...

REALLY?

Let's see, Toddzilla's reply was right after the quote by you, Monkie. We usually quote someone when we are going to back what they say or respond to their comment. I'm going to have to say that Toddzilla was doing the latter. He used a whole separate post to respond to another person, whom he also quoted.

And DOHC Josh's direct quote, also right after a quote by you (hence DOHC Josh's reply being directed towards you, Monkie):
"Such a militant attitude from somebody who doesn't even own a car.."

And that also answers your question, tpivette89. (BTW, I want a 85-90 vette so much!)

What's the next excuse, Monkie.
