Car: 90 IROC 5.7 hardtop
Engine: L98
Transmission: T5 swap
Axle/Gears: Yup -- they still work
cam and heads
I finally got the 264HR cam installed (it was stored under my bed for 5 years). 2 days to take down the motor, 4 months to put it back together
Had my 083s into the shop as well. New springs, guides, valves, porting for under $1000. I think the heads now flow 216cfm int and 172 exh. the cam is 210/220 .533/.544. Had my headers ceramic coated. Definitely a recommend on that mod.
when it is running properly it really pulls hard in fact more than I expected. My clutch lasted one run at the track so I have to replace it now. And something stupind is happening with the idle and I have been throwing parts at it. Probably EGR related (surge, idle, stink, etc). will trhrow more parts at it this weekend.
