SES light question???

I have an 89 Formula 350 and just recently my SES light has lighted up when the car is on all the time. I'm not the mechanic I like to think I am and would like to know if the SES light only comes on when a problem is detected by a sensor? I've replaced a good number of sensors on the car and am thinking it must be one of the sensors I haven't gotten to yet. ANy assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Navagate to the tech articles off the main page, you'll see an article on pulling your code from your SES light, and what the code means, from there you can do some troubleshooting.
