what should i expect from l98 heads and intake on a 305

I have an lo3 on my 89 rs and i got L98 heads and intake off of an 89 formula and i was wondering what i could get out of putting that on a 305. i was told that i could lose compresion some how is it true? How munch more horse power sould i expect form it? and how much faster would i be at the track with that set up? thanks for any help

You'll lose close to half a point of compression, which will lower performance, you'll flow a little more, which should raise, all in all it will become a trade off probably just slightly more biased to a gain maybe.

If you're going to do it the only way I could think of making it worth it is to port the snot out of it and have it decked to recover some of the lost compression.

replace the cam as well, that's another weak point of the LO3
