i run crane #100082 226 deg,.470 lift,106 lobe sep, advanced to 101 deg. 6 inches of vacuum in neutral in my 305 @ 550 rpms. Now they say there is no way this cam will run in TPI car cause of lobe seperation. THIS IS B/S!!! they were right in a way though, the car would not idle at all below 2000 rpm,i went and bought a stock 89 vette chip for the 3.07 performance ratio auto. they also said that wouldnt work in there either. But the car idled and never died, started good and ran like a raped ape. never surged. The cam is now in a 427 ci(i think)400---.040 over??? and it has much more vacuum, but both run fine with the vette chip

The fuel pressure regulator needs vaccum, hvac controls (or else you will only get air out of the defrost vents), the egr valve and solenoid unless you wanted to get rid of egr, the power brake booster, there's also two connections from the charcoal canister to the throttle body, one for vaccum, the other for fuel vapor. You could get rid of your curise servo if you wanted. Hope this helps.

ok first how do i get rid of the egr and will it rob me power....second im runing 114 lobe sep...i have "eliminated" the charcoal caniser...and the cruise cont is "eliminated"...as well as the heat/ac and blower motor....this i going to be a street strip car so i wont really need air....so the only places i absoutely need vacuum is the power brakes and the fuel press reg right?

if you disconnect the fuel pressure regulator, the computer will map the block learns more acurately with a larger cam shaft. but as far as disconecting things for more vacuum, it wont help to plug things up. Disconnecting the egr valve doesnt rob you of power. you may get a bit more throttle response??? that is the first thing i disconect when i buy a car lol. if you get a vacuum resevuar from an early 80's camaro, you can run a larger cam and the vents will still work. i would run vacuum to the brakes and fuel regulator with that cam r u looking for more power? i have a few tricks if you wanna email me. ill get back to you.
