I honestly can say I cant see a big difference in different headers companies. I know for a fact tha most of the header dimensions from every company is usually 1 5/8 unless you pay extra for the 1 3/4 headers. The only difference that I have noticed is the cheaper headers have thinner or cheaper header to head flanges and are more prone to leaking. I have also noticed cheaper headers for instance the summit racing headers that are sold in the catalog are very badly designed as I have seen people have clearance problems. So I would imagine it would come down to trial and error and what works best.
