Another LT1 intake up and running!

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I got my car running with a self converted LT1 intake that I had been working on. John and others were a great help along the way and I hope to have the bugs worked out sometime this week. Its been on for almost a week now and running. I have an oil leak to fix and a PCV/EGR problem to mess with(all my fault) but other than that it seems to be running pretty decent. I can't wait to get it all working right and take it to the track. I also put some 4.10's in a few weeks ago and those combined with this intake and my LT4 hotcam should produce some decent numbers I think. Here are my basic mods:

stock L98 bottom end
LT4 hot cam
gasket matched iron L98 heads
TPIS ZZ9 valve springs
comp 1.6 roller tipped rockers
LT headers and 3" exhaust
MSD and other ignition stuff
K&N
TPIS airfoil
custom chip by me (basically a stock L98 right now )
T56 6-speed
GM Motive 4.10s

I think thats about it. Before the intake, I pulled 275RWHP and 330 RWTQ with STOCK runners, 48mm TB, ported plenum, and a stock base that I siamesed. I'm hoping for closer to 300RWHP next time after some tuning. I also think I should be really close to 12.99s. What do you guys think? I'll post some pics sometime soon and definately a before and after ET! My best ET before the gears/intake was a 8.75@81mph in the 1/8th. I'm guessing that was about a 13.6@101 or so. Later

I think everyone is just jealous of your car, I know I am....

What gears were in before???? If they were 3.42's or numerically lower I think 12's are DEFINITELY possible, simply because that T56 needs 4.10's even without the LT1 intake. Get some stickier tires if you don't already have them.

I don't know about the dyno numbers, but that LT1 intake should wake up the cam you have so 20+ hp doesn't seem completely outrageous.

Good luck and your car kicks a$$!!!

Man come on I'm blushing. LOL Thanks for the compliments. I think you said it right too. 12s and 300rwhp should be somewhat close. I agree with the T56 and 4.10's.... it needs them no matter what because 1st gear sucks! I had 3.42s before and they were ok but these are alot better. As for sticky tires I have 275/50/15 Nitto Drag radials. They should work good. I'll have new track times this weekend! Woohooo!

I'm running stock fuel pressure and 8* initial timing. As for my chip it is mostly stock right now but I just got ahold of someone else's chip for some ideas on what I need to work on!
