came across this, first ever HSR?

While reading through the Oct '00 CHP mag, i saw this..

Looks like the earliest HSR design I have seen, i just found it to be intresting

Seems to me like it would work just as well as holleys unit... cept the word "edelbrock" makes me think of the words "porting" and "smoothing"

There are alot older ones than that. I have a mag from about ~93 with a tunnel ram converted to TPI.

I like that plenum 10x better then the Tissue box HSR.

Thats the reason I sold my HSR once I actually got it. Didnt like the looks. I think I'm either gona get a miniram for the tt418 or make my own plenum for a HSR base.

Hawk's has/had one of the first prototype TPI units...it looked similar to that....only it had all the raw unfinished welds...it was pretty cool.

heh, i remember reading that in a magazine years and years ago.....

if i recall correctly, the guy (and his wife) fabbed the entire front suspension for the car too.... its suppost to handle great...




anyhoo, that was a custom one off intake he made...... nothing to do with holley. so i wouldnt give holley any credit for that guys work... he did a great job, and ive wanted to do somthing similar to that for years....
