AFPR with Edelbrock Runners Question

I'm having to change my (billet) AFPR on my car due to damage (broken vacuum port tube) and clearance problems with the adjusting bolt. The bolt was fine with the stock runners but the Edelbrock runners are shorter in height and it hits and makes it impossible to seal the runners to the plenum.

My first AFPR was one that used an allen wrench to adjust, which was a pain, not to mention that I had to cut 1/4" off the wrench just so it would fit. Unfortunately, I have given this AFPR to a friend so it's not available for reinstallation.

Problem I'm looking at is this: Having a senior moment, I bought the Crane AFPR instead of another AFPR like my first one. The Crane AFPR has the bolt on top for adjusting just like my AFPR from Mid America Corvette's. I'm really wondering, is this sucker going to hit like the Mid America unit did. Any body out there with the Edelbrock runners using the Crane AFPR with no problems???? I really don't want to waste all the money spent on those gaskets if at all possible!!!!!!

I had clearance issues with my Holley AFPR with Edelbrock runners and they are supposed to be the lowest aftermarket ones out there. Had to grind a bit of the plenum. So if you have a bolt sticking up you are goign to have issues.

Looks like it's going to work after all...... Once the adjusting bolt was screwed in until it made contact with the spring, we dummied it up and it looks to have clearance!!!! Yes!!!!

Hope to have it running tomorrow and then find the virulent transmission leak. I would hate to toast a $1500 transmission with maybe 60 miles on it!!! I think it's the seal around the dipstick tube. There was a large pool of transmission fluid on the ground after pouring in replacement fluid for what had already leaked out. It’s definitely not the seals or pan gasket, but it leaves a nice mess anytime you drive it..... I’m going to put it on a rack somewhere so I can look at it. I can’t get it far enough off the ground to look at it without an inspection mirror....
