I torqued mine to 18 ft lb and haven't had any leaks.

Cylinder heads and SD base

Black 91 Z28, I have been thinking of using the SD base and Vortec cylinder heads. How much would that help a bone stock 1992 Z28, L98? My car currently runs 14.60's at high 90's mph? I have the 323 gears, Borla cat-back and K-N filters in the stock air housing. Thanks

I seem to have bad luck at the track so I'm probably not the one to ask but, there was a definate improvement going to the Vortec setup. It pulled harder in the upper RPM and doesn't feel like there is such a wall at 4500 RPM. I'm hoping to get to the track next week so I'll see if I can make any improvements.

Look up some info on Dyno Don (I think that's who it is) he's got a Vortec setup and runs in the 12s.
