HSR or SDPP
Im soon to be dooing a TPI swap and am curious what you guys have to say. I am running vortec heads with an lt1 cam 205 intake and 207 exaust. on a 9.7:1 comp 355. I am leaning towards the HSR, but I am not sure if i have enough cam for it. I would really appretiat any feedback,
Walter

the 450" 460" lift isnt much for a HSR IMO. If i had the cam already i would og with the sdpc.
Do you want low end or upper?
Alittle more info?

well i want to be able to make power to at least 5500 and possibly close to 6000. I also still want to have enough torque at around 2200 to 2500 to be able to cruise the freeways in the Appalations b/t TN and PA(alot of elevation change and curves). the cam and heads are already installed im just wanting to swap from tbi to port fuel injection. I heard that the original tpi intake and runners will hit a wall at 4500 and i dont really want this. Also i may do a cam swap sometime in the future, i just dont have the money to get the heads machined right know.

Sound like you really need the Sddpc intake. If you can afford it, the best money will be spent putting some runners inbetween the "ported plenum" and the vortec base.
The cam you have will feed the vortec heads a good amout of tq.
Plus staying with a LTR setup will benefit the performance of the heads.
