tpi problems

a while back my car was runing like **** i was thinkin it was my ecm but found out that my 8th injector was giving out after i took it to get diagnosed. well my car felt really weak after 4500 rpm and so on it sputered. so i changed my all my injectors to 24 lbs then the car ran better than ever. bad thing it came back im thinkin something is damaging an injector beacause it has the same symptoms and its acting up again. waht can i do? could it be the wiring for the ecm maybe a short or the fuel pump burn off relay? i was lookin at it closely and the plugs for the realy near the firewall look quiet old!! any ideas?

What was the diagnosis on the injector the first time? Was it just not spraying fuel, or was it sticking open?

It "could" be a wiring issue, but I'd tend to look elsewhere first, because these injectors are batch fired. The four injectors on that side all share the same Ignition feed and pulsed ground at the ECM. Usually what effects one injector wire will adversely effect the other 3 on that bank.

how detailed was the diagnostic you performed? Did you do a tune up onit to try and eliminate any other areas like bag plugs or wires or something? Also, dont expect mush after 4500 or so, the tpi wasnt designed to pull mush further up in the rpm range. Jusat make sure you have a proper tune up and that all things are in spec. how many miles on on this engine btw?

I would also put a fuel pressure gauge on this engine and run it through its paces and see how the fuelpressure is reading. maybe the pump has seen better days. You have to try and eliminate everything as possible

the 8th injector was bad they replaced the 8th fauled spark plug they did all this diagnosting it on a scale of cylinder shorting. the engine rebuilt barely close to 3,000 miles. with the old injectors i felt losing power when i chanhed em i felt the bigest difference and the car those pull pass 4500, i got my 700r4 transmission built pretty good and takes gears up high. so that how i noticed something was wrong

Did you have your injectors professionally flow tested? New injectors even need it.
