383 TPI Camshaft

I'm building a 383 TPI and am going to us the Comp Cams

Part Number 08-502-8
Grind Number CS XR269HR-12
Description
Intake Exhaust
Valve Adjustment 0 0
Gross Valve Lift 0.495 0.503
Duration At 0.006 Tappet Lift 269 276
Valve Timing At 0.006
Open Close
Intake 26 62
Exhaust 74 22
These Specs Are For The Cam Installed At 108 Intake CL
Intake Exhaust
Duration At 0.05 218 224
Lobe Lift 0.33 0.335
Lobe Separation 112
I'm using 24 lbs injectors and factory chip, headers

What do you guys think.

Axle/Gears: 3.70 Nine Bolt
There is even a better one if your heads can handle it. Try 08-466-8. It is designed specifically for fuel injection cars. If not go for the one you have.

Peronally I think that is a little small, try the Crane grind they put in the ZZ383, 222/230 .508/.528, I ran it in a 350 with 9/1 compression and it came on like a frieght train at 3500 rpm's up to 6500, low end was a little soggy but that is because of the 350 ci and low compression, with a 10/1 383 it would kick but, I am actually going to re-install it a 383 in the future.

My heads could handle the cam but i'm not running a roller block. I have this tpi setup in my 62 Nova.
