nothing but problems for me

this is the first tpi car ive owned and ive had so many problems with it and spend so much money trying to get my car accualy running the way it should be, lets start with the begging! 2 days after i buy the car the engine light turns on, not having a code reader i bring it in, they say there was debri on the MAF so they clean it and charge me 60$ 4 days later engine light back onso i bring it back and they said i need to replace my MAF and they said it would be 270$ but i worked at a dealership at the time and had them order me one at cost and i put it on my self, cleared the codes and it ran fine.... for a day. one day i start it up it makes some weird noises and the service light comes on agian. i pop the hood and there is oil all over the intake manifold, i get it home and find out its cracked, it was over tightend by whoever worked on it last. so i go on ebay and find one for an amazing price of 30$ few days i got it on, and all new gaskets. it runs fine for a day then of coarse service engine light comes on agian, i buy a code reader. it says nothing is wrong with the electrical system and to bring the car in! well i do that and they say ....... its your MAF sensor i say theres a new one on there. then they said they would take a nother look. few days later i get a new distributor coil and rotor... some wires yada yada yada.... cost me alot. then i get it home... gues what turns on the next day? thats right! SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT! only this time my car is slow as hell and HORRRIBLE GAS MILAGE! i mean less then 100 miles and im out of gas. so im pretty pissed. i get the timing light and proceed to time it.... it was waaayyy off looks like the guys at the shop didnt unplug the wire to time it. i fix that every thing seemed ok... for a few days untill i get onto the highway i step on the gas hard and i hear a pssss noise then SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT comes on i pull it over and see some smoke coming from the pass side exhaust manifold.. somthing must be dripping on it.... now my car hardly runs and im fed up!also when i drove it like a block it seemed like the throttle was sticking.... idle shouldnt be at 3500 RPMS! yep... i need help before i get the dynomite.

that pisssssss and the rise in the rpm at idle is a vaccuum leak more than likely. There are several memories of me wanting to drive or more like push my car over a cliff when I tried to put a 89 Tpi motor in a 91 v6 car. My advise if you bought the car for a daily driver, bad move, buy another car. Give her a rest calm down for a while and come back to her with a fresh head.

Are you sure your MAF is burning off at start up?

Axle/Gears: Economy gears..once again, WHY?!?
For the love of ***, get a paper clip and bend it in a u shape already and jump the upper right hand two terminals on the top row of the ALDL and count the flashes of the SES light. Code 12 should come up first, 3 times, then a pause then any following codes. Each one will flash 3 times before moving to the next code. When it gets back to flashing a code 12, it's got no other codes in it. If the SES light came on, there has got to be a code stored in the history. Unless the ECM is junk or something. Check all the basics, go over the vacuum lines. Look under the hood at the vacuum routing diagram, if its still there. If it aint there, get a chiltons book at the zone, or napa or someplace. Hell go borrow it from the public library. Check your TPS voltage, do the easy diagnostics first before moving onto the bigger stuff. Heck, even replace your MAF power, and MAF burnoff relays. They are only about 12 bucks a pop if you can get them from this dealership you work at, cause thats how much I paid for mine with my discount. Good luck.
