fuel pressure reg

i was woundering if it would be possible to use an external regulator and remove the stock regulator thanks for the help

i think you would have to fab up a block off plate. not a bad idea because its a pain in the *** to get to. especially if you have the BBK unit.

that was the plan was to make a block off plate but then i wasnt sure about the vacuum line that runs to the regulator wasnt sure if it changed fuel pressure under acceleration and if so would it be possible to use the boost control port on the external regulator thanks for the help

so you want to hook up a manual boost controller to the FPR vacuum line? correct? yea it would work on making the car running rich as hell. a manual boost controller just hides some boost from the wastegate on a turbo car causing it to raise or lower the boost level. see when you unhook the vacuum line on a FPR it goes to max psi. so hiding some vacuum would cause a rich condition which i think it would just go to max psi that you have it set too like 45psi and no more. relocating the vacuum line to the external regulator shouldn't change a thing.

i wasnt sure what the vacuum line on the fpr was for i just had an external regulator laying around that was adjustable so i was going to use that instead of the stock fpr was woundering if any ever eleminated the stock fpr for an external one thanks
