TPI bolt removal issues????????

What is the best way to get out the star bolts in the runners b/c mine are stripped? And the ones that are having issues also dont have a kit if tool access to them? thanks again guys.

I am sure they are stripped because you or someone else used the wrong torx bit or used an allenhead which some times works.

Try to use one size up and beat it in with a hammer then loosen. If not then some vise grips.

I see allot of stripped Torx screws. It's often caused by cheap torx drivers. The cheap ones have rounded corners to make htem easier to get into the bolt. What happens is you have very little surface area touching and it's very easy to strip it out.

I take and grind the face of the cheapies flat so they grab better.


If you can't get them out try using a lefthanded drill bit.

often you can grind a slot into the front of the bolt and use a very large slotted screwdriver (or similar impliment) to extract them.
