HEADERS: Which show the best results?
Hey all I look through my Summit Magaizine and JC Whitney magazines and so forth and I see alot of good headers from what I read about tehm....So many but How do I know which the best? Im hoping with everyones own experiences you can help me out to choose the best set of headers....heres the specs on the car I plan to purchase them for:
1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
305 5.0 V8 TPI
- Roller Cam
- K&N Air Filters(The only kind)
- What else should I add?
Stock gears (How do I find out what my rear gears are, I have the code off the tubing off the axle, jsut wnat to know where I can get it matched to the ration....Also since its stock, so what gears should I get to upgrade, friend of mine says 3.73's that way I wont lose top end speed or anything. What do YOU think??)
3 in Flowmaster American Thunder Catback
What are some future mods I should make? i mean what ahve you done to see the most HP gain?
So what kind of headers should I consider to purchase? Thanks Alot to all who reply...

Most people I talk to put either SLP or Edelbrock TES headers on their cars. I went with SLP 1 ¾ for on my 88 GTA and I love them. The only downside with SLP is they are really expensive but you wont be disappointed with the performance. Since you have a 305 I would put on the 1 5/8 headers. The 1 ¾ maybe to big for your engine and you may lose a lot of low-end power.
