modding the intake
I'm swapping to perimiter bolt heads and just wanted any helpful hint or tricks to drilling the intake to fit the new four center bolt angles

I haven't actually done this mod, so i'd verify it first, but just by looking at it, it seems to me that Tas is right. You oly need to grind out the bottom of the bolt holes so that the bolts are free to go perpendicular to the face of the intake, instead of at a 72' or whatever angle. The bolt hole is definitely in the same spot, it's just the angle the bolt goes on thats different.

I modded a later-style intake to fit standard angle bolt heads with just a rat-tail file. Be warned, this method will take some time and elbow grease, but it was quite straight-forward to do.
