Code 34--Check engine light--help!!

Car: 1988 IROC
Engine: 5.7 litre
Transmission: Auto--700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.27 Posi with 4 wheel disc brakes
Code 34--Check engine light--help!!
If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.
Car: 1988 IROC 5.7 litre TPI
I have a check engine light on and purchased the diagnostic tool which has the check engine light flashing 34. According to my manual that means I have a MAF low voltage or MAF failure. So, I went and purchased a new MAF and installed it BUT my check engine light continues to stay lit (its on all the time). The car runs AWESOME (couldnt run any better).
I am just scratching my head here. Do I have a problem or not? Why wont the check engine light go off? Is there a fuse or relay that has blown?
Ive done a search for code 34 and nothing comes up.
Can anyone help me out here? What am I missing?

You have to run your search in the following format to find info on codes.
"code+34" If you don't use the quotation marks and plus sign nothing will come up.
Code 34 is very seldom the MAF itself. So you probably wasted your money on that new MAF. Below are some of the most common causes.
1. Vaccum leak or air leak in the air cleaner assembly. (inspect and tighten)
2. MAF burnoff relay and MAF power relays (just replace them. They are only 10 bucks each)
3. Misadjusted TPS or failing TPS. (Check voltage with scan tool or meter)
4. Leaking fuel injectors (with fuel pressure gauge, check to see how fast your fuel pressure bleeds down to zero after shutting the car off).
5. Bad connector at the MAF.
6. Bad ECM (computer)
You are going to have to do some testing to pin it down.
