Big little problem
My 89 Iroc is still bogging out on me. It only happens at speeds below 1500 rpms. once the engine revs higher than 1500, I can floor it all day long. What's going on here? Also it has the 305 in it.

Re: Big little problem
My first guess is a vacuum leak. May be a broken vacuum line but could also be a leak at the intake manifold or throttle body gasket or even if theres a leak betweenthe MAF and the throttle body. Also check the timing.

Re: Big little problem
Get a scan tool and look for codes first. If that turns nothing up put a vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, and a timing light on it.
Theres two things that will make a motor hesistate; low manifold vaccuum, or slow ignition timing.
