Injector problem

Ihave one injector not working. I ohmed the injectors and had 14.7 to 14.9. I bought this car with motor problems and upon removing heads this cylinder never fired since rebuild. Piston looked new. I have replaced heads cam pushrods and rockers. With the engine back in now it runs rough. I do have spark in this cylinder. Just no gas. Since this injector ohmed good could it just need cleaned?

Re: Injector problem

it could be a wiring problem or the injector may be stuck closed.
to check the wiring, use a noid light to see if the ECM is firing the injector. if it isn't, check the power to it with a test light.
if you have power, open the harness up and check the ground side of the
wiring.

if its stuck, sometimes cleaning them will help.
but if they are the factory multec injectors, it would be best to just replace
the complete set with the bosch 3s.
for the price of 2 stock replacements, you can get a full set of bosch injectors.

southbay08 is a site sponsor and sells injectors,

you can also get them from FIC,
