I'm looking into purchasing an Accel Super Ram intake base. I noticed that there is only one part number for 1985 - 1992 cars. That number is 74197.
Does anyone know if there are separate part numbers for intake bases that fit centerbolt valve cover cylinder heads and non-centerbolt?
Since the bolt pattern on the cylinder heads for centerbolt valve covers is slightly different from non-centerbolt I don't see how that intake casting could be universal.
Any and all info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks. I had heard that once before but I really just didn't believe it. But apparently it is universal.
Off subject....I saw in your sig you have the WP S/R Torquer Heads. I was looking into them and then I heard terrible things about them. How do you think they perform?

i like them, although they are not some high performance aluminium head, i never ported mine or anything, just slapped them on, granted i have a procharger but 420 ft/lb's of torque to the rear wheels must say something about them.
Is Accel making their own intake again? Or is it still just a Edelbrock in an Accel box?
Nah, they're not making their own again. It is still an Edelbrock in a rebadged box. But I found an original Accel intake for sale that is reasonably priced. Needs a good cleaning and a day or two in a parts washer and it would be just fine.
i never dyno'ed it without the blower, but it hauled *** with a carb and those heads
Nice, yeah I wish there weren't so many different options it would make it so much easier to make a final decision on what I want. Haha. But that's the first positive thing I've heard on the WP Torquers. So I guess we'll see on what I actually do build.
