Good product to clean injectors?
I get about 12 mpg and my car has 159k miles on it and the injectors are terribly mucked up. What is a good product to clean them with?

I like techron. However, with that kind of mileage, it's time to start looking at injectors. Give me a call. 201-258-5600.
No gas additive is going to get them where you need them.

If those are original injectors. Youre likely lacking ALOT of performance. A new set would make a tremendous diff in power.

Re: Good product to clean injectors?
Well here are a few problems I have.
1. I only have $800 right now.
2. My car needs a new starter.
3. Just spent $700 on shocks/struts and strut mounts.
4. The block is cracked and we threw jb weld on it for now.
5. I have no job even though I'm looking far and wide.
When I get enough money I'm hoping to buy a 350 and swap it in, so I'd rather not have to buy new 305 injectors, and then a year or two down the road have to buy bigger ones for a 350. Also, my parents probably would not like me spending more than I already have.

Bg makes a good injector cleaner ..They have a 2 step thing ..I am not sure if it is available in retail settings yet or not...we used it in our shop and have had great results..If you can not find the 2 step system just try the regular injector cleaner they offer...Good luck on the job hunting...I know its tough out there

Re: Good product to clean injectors?
I was looking at these 24lb injectors here: http://www.southbayfuelinjectors.com/
If I put those in my car since it's tuned for a 305 right now, would it still give the smaller amount of fuel flow? Then when I swap in 350 I could re-tune the computer to give it the extra fuel?

I agree with injectors plus, if your injectors are in such bad shape, do not waste your time with injector cleaners, though initially it may work,,, the cleaners are sometimes a temporary fix especially when you are starting off with injectors that possibly need to be resurrected., besides, you will not be able to fully evaluate the injectors for leaks under pressure and to visualize the spray pattern. Truthfully if you have the multecs they are probably ready for the trash anyway. If you are really tight for cash you can send them to a reputable company to see if they can salvage them by cleaning and flowtesting them to hold you over until you are ready to purchase replacement injectors.

Well I'm not against getting new injectors, it's just I'd rather not have to buy 305 injectors and then in a year or two have to buy 350 injectors. It seems like it would waste a lot of money.
I'll try to give you a call tomorrow injectors plus.
