Re: 89 350 tpi mods ?

Both the Camaro and the Firebird have cold air intakes from factory, meaning they do NOT pull air from the hot engine bay. Now the Firebird's intake is a little more restrictive, due to the lower hood. I can't say whether or not it really makes a difference on a stock engine, but I'm sure it wouldn't provide much of a "kick". ....same goes for the airfoil. The important thing to remember is that there are so many part out there designed to make tiny little minor differences. When tenths of a second make the difference, it's worth it to make all these little additions. It might mean the difference between winning and losing. -but on a street car that's pretty much stock, you'll never feel it.

....now a catback would help. You might notice that, and coupled with headers, it "might" be the best bang for the buck you can do to a stock engine. Stock exhaust systems are pretty restrictive.
....and as Roachjuice said, a new torque converter with a higher stall will make a night and day driving difference. Are you driving the car every day? Don't know if I'd do it to a daily driver, but I put a B&M 2200 stall in my car and loved it! Like I said though, it wasn't a daily driver.
....you can also look into a used rear end with a higher gear ratio. I replaced my factory 2.77 geared rear end with a used, factory 3.27 geared rear end. Less than $300 bucks, and swapped it in an afternoon.

Re: 89 350 tpi mods ?

the air foil is really jus a waste of money in my opinion but i got it for free an put it in glad i didn't waste 40 bucks for nothing. CAI didn't help much but i also jus made my own but the exhaust will help a pretty good amount long tube headers with 3" exhaust back to muffler. kinda takes a lot to notice a difference unfortunitly.although headers i notice a big difference an for 150 bucks u cant beat the bang for your buck u get from those. cant really go wrong with a fuel presser regulator. cat back tho u wont notice much, maybe 10-15 hp increase not enough to feel anything
