No fuel pressure 1990 IROC 5.7

I have a 1990 IROC Z28 5.7 (stock engine). Eight months ago I put a new fuel pump and fuel filter in the car (PIA). I work out of town and car pretty much sits in garage. Today tried to start and drive it around, engine turns but it will not start. Tried fuel pressure gauge and nothing. I even used a screw driver to see if fuel would come out of line nothing, not even the smell of fuel.

Will I need to replace fuel pump again? or is there anyway to kick start the pump?

thanks for reading my post.

Check fuse and tap relay. Make sure your getting 12v to the pump b4 you start changing it.

Thank Youfor the HELP!!! I checked the fuse and tap relay both were good. Removed tank and attached photo is the rusty mess I found. Going to have to clean entire tank and replace fuel pump. Next weeks project.

If you have a pulsator where the fuel pump meets the hard fuel line, get rid of it. It was causing my car to have no fuel pressure after my pump swap so we just swapped in fuel line in place of the pulsator.

Re: No fuel pressure 1990 IROC 5.7

Thanks to all the replies in helping me fix my problem. After checking the gas tank it was full of rust. so i went out and bought a used tank for the junk yard 30.00. I also bought a new fuel pump, new sending unit, removed the pulsator, new fuel filter and today I finally got the car RUNNING!!

The board has been a big help and I will continue to use it as a source for future projects.
