Rear End Help Please!!!

my Camaro came with a 9 bolt borg warner 3.27. It is now over 25 years old, leaking oil, Definitely due for a rebuild. Should I keep it or sell it? My brother has a 10 bolt with 3.73 gears that just came out of his 87 Iroc in good working order. Should I swap them? would I be better off, worse, same?

I am doing a lot of mechanical upgrades in the near future, eventually getting a moser but those are very expensive as you all know. i currently have rear disc brakes if that matters.

Re: Rear End Help Please!!!

I have an 87 with a Borg Warner in it. They are great, strong rear ends but the parts are harder to come by these days. If you have a good 10-bolt available for the right price I would just swap them out. It is a straight swap and would probably take you all of 3 hours to do. A 10-bolt is more than adequate for a daily driver that you get on every once in awhile and have a little fun. 3.73 gears on the auto may be a little steep in my opinion, I would swap the gears to 3.23 or 3.42....
