Bad batch of Edelbrock baseplates

Does anyone know about when the supposed batch of bad Edelbrock baseplates (3860) were produced? I've been reading of recent problems with the base such as leaking and holes being drilled too deep etc. and I'm trying to figure out if the one I have is one of them. I bought it unused from a member here about 3+ years ago and now am concerned it may be one of those defective ones. Thanks in advance.

This is the only thread I can recall. Note the posting dates.

There was another one recently on the General Engine/Tech board.

Re: Bad batch of Edelbrock baseplates

Eddy may be able to tell you

Take a flat edge to it see if you can mock it up on someones motor if thats possible. Holes easy to correct.

Sometimes the molds get old. Ive worked on a # of their new BBC intakes and the ports need a good deal of correcting. Easily done but still

Nothings bolt on lol

Good luck!
