Manifold Issue

So when I bought my Camaro, the guy I bought the car from gave me a ton of spare parts. In that pile of parts was a full extra intake (plenum, runners, and base). I've decided to start cleaning up the plenum and base and take a stab at a little diy porting work with the idea that I'd start now and then sometime over the winter I can swap then over with some aftermarket runners. I thought it'd be a fun project. I have no previous experience with porting so being able to do this with a spare set of parts is nice.

Well, today I started cleaning the base with degreaser and I discovered the collar/threads that hold the distributor hold down stud in place (no idea if there's a specific name for this) have a crack. Is this base ruined? Would I possibly be okay patching this up with epoxy? I tugged a bit on hold down stud and it's not moving at all. I don't know how much force the distributor hold down takes on.
