TPI swap advice

Hey fellas! What are the chances that a stock tpi intake setup will run properly on my 355 sbc with a 280h comp cam, 60cc trick flow heads controlled by a holley efi harness/ecu?

I have a really clean setup sitting on my shelf for a decade....I love the look but have been told to stay carb'd. Just a weekend warrior car, no track or strip.... looking to do something different this year.

Opinions?

That's the exact same thing I've heard, and the main reason it sits on my shelf.

No amount of porting would help?

I could always get bigger runners, base plenum...but im trying to use what I have.

Re: TPI swap advice

This topic has been beaten to death. Do some basic reading and you'll get the idea.

TPI intake will reduce potential max HP by around 8% to 18%. The OEM TPI will be close to 18%. A high performance TPI like ASM will be more like 8%. It will move the torque curve down low and increase max torque though. So if your 355 is capable of, let's say, 350hp, a stock TPI intake will probably bring it down to 285hp.

Here's a good summary:
