Spools and mini spools are not recommended for the street. They're designed for straight line acceleration or dirt track racing.
They both lock the 2 axles together. A full spool is much stronger since it completely replaces the carrier but there are no 7.5" spools.
Since both axles are locked together there is no differential action when driving around corners. Both wheels will always turn the same speed. This is hard on tires when on pavement and can also get a little scary when driving in the rain.
You're best to just buy a good posi.
