"Creative" neutral start switch for manual tranny?

My manual trans conversion pedals had a funky old style neutral switch on it. It was bad, so I ordered a replacement. I got an updated switch which looks nothing like the old one, and woun't even mount in the original place.

No biggie to me, I just bypassed the thing and have been driving it that way. hell, I grew up on manual trans cars that never heard of a neutral start switch.

Anyway, the tech's at the race tracks want to see your neutral switch working. So I need to get on working. I am just wondering if anyone has done any creative mounting or other measn of "simulating" a working neutral switch.

BTW, I think they are a PITA. Everytime you need to start your car when working on it, you have to jump in and push on the clutch pedal. Real nice when you're all sweaty and greasy! It's so much better to just reach inside and turn the key. Why would anyone need that switch? Just put brain in gear before car.

Something that you could do to get the benefits of both setups is to put together a working neutral start switch with the components that you have ( I guess you have enough stuff from the kit and whatever else you ordered) and wire a switched bypass to it as well. That way when you have the bypass switch in the open position, the neutral start switch would function as stock. With the bypass switch closed, the car will start regardless of whether the clutch pedal is down or not. Anyways, don't know if you had considered something like that or not.
