Mini spool...safe for the street???
i have a 9 bolt rear with a toasted posi. would a mini spool be safe for everyday driving? i have heard some so no way and some say it will be ok. what do you guys think?

no they are far from safe it will skid around corners like your on sand and it will stress the snot out of your rear on dry pavement. on top of all that it will make it harder to take sharp turns at slow speeds and will eat tires. they are good for drag an race only cars but on the street they are a no no.

My buddy put one in his camaro and he said it was single-handedly the worst thing he'd ever done to that car. He said the way it would chirp and hop around the corner was downright embarassing.

I dont suggest taht you do that...I had a welded diff one time on my older car and that was hell. Around the turns it chirped, when in parking lots it was annoying as hell, and also even high speed turns. The rear end may loose traction and boom your *** just flew into a gaurd rail. Not safe in my opinion.
