poly trans mount hardware question.
Hey, I bought a ES poly mount because when I had my custom crossmember made to clear the exhaust with my t56 they welded the crossmember with the trans mount bolted to it. I got under the car when i got it home to check out the work they did and the trans mount was somewhat melted. It felt mushy. When I took the bolt that goes from crossmember to the mount off I could wiggle the stud around so it wasnt totaly broke yet but figure it would have went soon, not to mention that the trans was sitting a bit sideways because of the melted mount. Anyway, when I went to install the es mount it didnt come with a bolt to bolt it to the crossmember. I went out and found a bolt to fit it. It was 10 by 1.5 by 20 mm. Anyway it stripped and stripped the mount. I figure thats kind of my fault except that they didnt supply the bolt to fit it and there were no instructions to tell me what to do. Should this have came with a bolt? I am going to try to return it since I bought it locally but dont know if they will take it back. I guess I am just curious if I was missing stuff or if they expect you to buy a bolt to fit it.
Thanks
Ben

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Strange...mine (an 1108R) came with instuctions, and two 7/16"X14 bolts.
There may be enough meat left for the larger 7/16" bolts to grab, but I kinda doubt it.

Well, I just tried again and it does appear that I did have the bolts, but not the instructions. I thought thats what those bolts were for at first, but then I couldnt get them to thread into the hole by hand for some reason. I thought that maybe they were replacements for the 2 that went into the tranny. Well anyway, I tried again and it threaded in fine. It tightened down fine without any signs of stripping. I think that it was more of the bolt being stripped than the mount I guess. Anyway, I just got back from a test drive and it feels a lot better than that other mount. Shifter seems to stand straighter up without that melted mount in there and it doesnt really move around hardly at all even with some spirited shifting.
Thanks
