Oh no another dead 700r4 help?
My friend My84Firebird tranny recently died, so being a nice guy i let him borrow my 87 GTA, Well a couple of days later the tranny died in the GTA. I dont blame it on him of course because i knew it was dying. I am guessing i need to get it rebuilt. i live in the Clearwater/Largo area (Florida). There are alot of tranny "HI PO" shops around here. I was wondering if anyone had any good or bad experiences?

DO NOT go to Sunset Transmissions. They ripped me off. i bought a tranny from them off ebay, didnt' work, sent it back, they "fixed" it, sent it back to me......same prob. i ended going with a local guy, but i broke that tranny too.

I bought a tranny from Sunset myself and it only lasted me maybe 3 months. I have not taken it back yet because I am selling the 86 TA it's in. The good thing about it is that they give you a one year warranty. I've heard good things about probuilt here on this site you might want to give him a try, I think I might purchase one from him myself for the Z28.
