Transmissions and Drivetrain Need help with your trans? Problems with your axle?

Help , i seriously need tranny help, everyone in here.

Help , i seriously need tranny help, everyone in here.

i just spent 900 ****in dollars on a tranny , i was supposed to have mine rebuilt but i fried it. Ok so i get the car back friday , i drive it , it bogs and wont shift at wot at all, i revved it to 6500 and wasnt happy about that . I bring it back , it also has a clunk or something from 2-3 . SO i get it back today , hes like i adjusted it but i gotta order some heavy duty clutches, hes like i thought the ones from the b&m shift kit would be ok. SO it shifts normal, 5800 so im fine with that . It doesnt bog anymore but it seems slow from a dead stop. It sucks. It also doesnt 3-4 wot shift anymore, mind you a diff tranny , and it didnt want to 4-3 downshift at full throttle. It sucks , the list of **** goes on . Im writing it all down so i dont forget . Why the f doesnt this one 3-4 wot shift. I have 4.10 gears so its only 90. And why doesnt it 4-3 wot downshift, this blows , its like driving a car meant for gas milegae it blows.HOw come the other one shifted like this. Gimme some answers, the other tranny had 55000 on it , it was an 85 tranny and it shifted 3-4 wot and it was better, until i fried it. Im so pissed , can he get the parts outta the other one of what . i mean this really sucks, im so pissed. help guys and gals.

Probably a cheapie stock-o tq. converter with no "extra" stall speed.

If he used an 84.5 - 87 core, yeah he could use parts from the olde one if they're not damaged. 88-up, no.

The 3-4 and 4-3 characteristics are totally normal for a non performance model valvebody.

You got what you paid for. An inexpensive, off-the-rack transmission. Was the olde one actually junk (broken case / v.b. etc.) or was he just wanting to stuff one in the car and send you down the road?

the old one was shot, the pump went bad, and the converter was shot. and then the gears got welded together.

I GOTTA TRANY ILL SELL YOU. I WAS GUNNA PUT IT IN MY TRUCK BUT I PUT A BIG BLOCK IN IT AND NOW IM GUNNA GO WITH A 4L8OE. THIS IS WHAT THE GUY PUT IN 13 Vane Rotor Assembley in the pump;Hardened Pump Rings; Teflon Pump Bushing; Kevlar Band;Full 500 TV Boost Valve; and lots of Accumalator and Plate Modifications. The ULTIMATE Z-PAC , 14 New Frictions and steels for 3/4 clutches. A Master Rebuild Kit for all needed Soft Parts. Also the BEAST super Strength, super harden, sun shell with a new Cryo-Treated ,hardened sun shell gear .Yes the HIGH PERFORMANCE 29 element sprag. I also Install a Fairbanks "SUPER SERVO" for Super HARD HITTEN 1-2 Shifts and an SUPER FIRM 2-3 Shift. This also Provides Positive 3-2 Kickdown and a Quicker release on 4-3 downshift.This Servo has 35% more Apply Surface Than The Corvette Servo. Also Installed is a Newly Geared Light Sprung/Weighted Governor To hold for a higher shift point at Peak Power band.
