Help me figure out what trans I have.
I pulled the engine and trans out of a parts car that I bought and the trans has a 7G stamped on the top of it. I suspect that it's a th350. Is there another place to look for numbers on it? Also, how can I tell if it's a 350C?

If the tailhousing is part of the case and not bolted on, it's a 200-4R or 200-C. If the mount is way back at the end by the output, it's a 200-4R.
If the tailhousing is bolted on, it's a TH350, TH350-C, or TH250-C. If it has a lockup plug (4 pin weatherpak,) then it's not a TH350. The TH250-C has an external band adjustment I believe.
You couldn't have posted any numbers stamped into the case, or on a tag, or told us what car it was out of, or mentioned the length, or mentioned whether it had a vaccuum modulator or TV cable, could you have?

Thanks guys for the replies. The trans is in my dad's barn so I can't just go look at right now. My next trip out I'll examine it better.

Thanks guys. I went today and found out that the trans is a th350. No plug-ins or anything so this means that it isn't a 350C right?
