Just got mine in today, I cut 1" off of the top of the shaft. Still has 3/4 " of thread left. It sure does feel nice. I can't wait till all of this winter weather is gone to really give it a try.

i made my own short shifter in machine class. the 14mm course threads are a bitch. if anyone wants me to make one for them, PM me i can make it to whatever specs you want, and i can guarentee you it will be a hell of alot cheaper than 150!!!
do you know the size of the threads that are on the head of the shifter where the shift **** fits on? those were hard to figure out too and i still havent figured them out so i used 1/2-13 threads instead

Well i finished installing my Pro 5.0. Aside from having to hack the shifter boot apart to get it to fit how its supposed to. it wasnt bad. It feel SOO tight compared to the stock shifter. I cant wait to take it out for a beat run in a few weeks.

the 14mm course threads are the threads on the actual connection on the transmission, the other side of the shifter than the ball side. my dads a machinist as well and he didnt even have a 14mm tap in his shop, he ordered one on friday, should be here early this week.
