Downshift to nothing...

I've been plagued by this since I got this car. When rolling at about 30 mph and then stomping on it, The 700R4 downshifts and free spins untill I let off the throttle just a bit then it hammers into gear and spins the tires. After that it seems ok. All shifts up/down correctly and lockup comes in and out as normal.
It is a B & M "built" trans and has a very good 1-2 shift normally but this is driving me nuts. Normal driving, all seems good. Only when pounded to the floor. (I like to do that every once in a while)

I've adjusted the TV cable to get the best operation but am wondering if "overpulling" will cause this to happen.
Not being very knowledgable with the 700r4 control circuits any ideas would be appreciated.
TIA

You can see the RPM jumps way up, then when I let off I can then accellerate.

Same thing?

I may have a similar problem 'cept yours is worse. My car has what I call a "flare up" between gears. I go from 4500 to 5000 (as much as 500 RPM between shifts) when I have my foot in it.

Yours sounds like it flares and then engages with a vengance. Accurate? Much worse than mine perhaps...

No that's exactly what it does, and with the nice low end torque that I have it is vengence!
Kinda cool to do a burnout at 30 mph though.
I don't want it to repeat cause I know its not keeping any parts in good condition.
I guess I'm gonna have to read up on the valve body, gov, etc and see what might be causing this.

Hey, neat. Is that off a laptop you plugged into the ALDL connector or off a scan-master type of unit?

Laptop,
TTS Power systems "Datamaster" logging software.
http://www.ttspowersystems.com/
Plug in to ALDL (with a cable) and watch what's going on.
Check it out, it's free for the first 20 logs.
