what trans should i use?

Car: 83 firebucket
Engine: less then a geo
Transmission: 5speed crap box
what trans should i use?
now im doing a four banger swap.
yes i know about all the other motors,but im using the 181 3.0.also called the vortec 3000.
i currently have the 2.5 duke,with a 5speed.
now the 181 has a gm small block bolt pattern,i need to know if the 181 will bolt to the stock trans i have now,or if i would need a new trans.
im pretty sure the 2.5 has a small block pattern as well,but im not sure.
any advice about it?

Axle/Gears: '01 3.42 10 bolt
wellington, i believe from the pics i have found that you will need a new tranny as the 2.5 has the typical 4-cyl. bell. the 3.0 you are using is the first 4-cyl. i have ever seen with a small block bolt pattern.
