Reverse drivetrain direction
How would you change the direction of a drivetrain. For instance, if you wanted to put an lS1 in a corvair, it's facing the wrong direction (assuming you use a vette transaxle also). How would you change it. It's computer controlled so the only thing I could think would be moving coil packs around. Any info appreciated. Thx.

Another way to do it is to either turn the whole transaxle upside 180* (left tire becomes right tire and vice-a-versa, I know you can do this with a rear-end, not sure if a trans-axle would still bolt up to motor or not) or switch the sides that all the gears in the carrier are on (eg. ring gear is on the left, switch it to the right). I saw the last method done on a Volkswagen transaxle for a dunebuggy, and it took all the abuse that we could give to it.
