Dakota VSS box - any alternatives?

Are there any alternatives to using the Digital Dakota VSS conversion box when swapping in a T56? I have a '89 MAF TPI w/ 700R4 currently. I've searched for the past two hours and came up empty. Thanks for the help.

anyone? there's no yellow VSS box on LT1s (like on our cars) that I could swap in as well to get things to work?

maybe I need to get a haynes for LT1 and open up the wiring diagrams... ttt

I have not come across anything elses besides the dakota digital box. It is what I used on my T56 swap, this was almost 2 years ago now.

that's what I expect most people on here would say, or they'd say you can adjust the values on a '730 ECM if you know how to burn your own chips. But I'd imagine someone would have thought of my idea before me at least to see if it would work. In that case, they'd come on here and say "No way, can't be done". But I haven't heard that from anyone, which makes me wonder...

There are other units out there. I think one is called a ECA box or something - do a google search. But it is $145 vs the $80 Dakota Digitial box. I've been using the Dakota Digital for a couple years and love it though.
