th350 swap please help

th350 swap please help

im putting in a th350 in place of my 700r4 because i blew 3rd and 4th gear on 4 transmissions in 3 months any ways i bought a kit from hurst so i can bolt on my torque arm onto the th350 but can i still use my stock cross member also do i have to shorten my drive shaft and by how much also
i was told to use a th350 with a short tail? thanks for any help

Car: 1986 Iroc
Engine: 454 Demon 850DP
Transmission: TH350, 3500 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.73
You need a TH350 with the long tail shaft to be able to use your stock driveshaft in its original form.

Engine: 4.530 X 4.250 BBC
Transmission: under rated for this application
Axle/Gears: also under rated
^ what he said, you need a 9 inch tail th350 for use with the stock DS....the hurst kit use to come with a conversion crossmember too, the 700 and 350 are about 1 1/2 inches different in the mount location
